Good morning and blessings in the name of JESUS. Instruction on this day of Sabbath (Deuteronomy 5:12-15)

As it is written John 15:4-6

4 Abide in ME, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in ME.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in ME, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: FOR WITHOUT ME, YOU CAN DO NOTHING !

6 If a man abide not in ME, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

The word “Abide” is repeated 5 times in just 3 verses. The Word “Abide” is mentioned 103x in the HOLY BIBLE.

What does the word truly mean ?

The word “abide” basically means “to remain, never to leave, to be one with the Creator.” Every Christian remains inseparably linked to JESUS Christ in all areas of life. We depend on Him for grace and power to obey. We look obediently to His Word for instruction (2 Timothy 3:16) on how to live. We offer Him our deepest adoration, praise, worship and obedience, from the Heart and not from vain repetition. (Deuteronomy 7:11) and we submit ourselves completely to HIS authority over our lives. In short, we as true believers, gratefully know Jesus Christ is the source and sustainer of our lives but more importantly our Souls, IF WE ABIDE IN HIM !

Abiding in JESUS Christ evidences genuine salvation. The Apostle John alluded to that when he referred to defected people who “went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, in order that it might be shown that they all are not of us” (1 John 2:19).

People with genuine faith (Hebrews 6:11) will remain–they won’t defect; they won’t deny JESUS Christ or abandon His truth. (John 8:32). Jesus reiterated the importance of abiding as a sign of TRUE faith when He said, “If you abide in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine” (John 8:31).
