“Waking Up The Church”
Do you really think you are prepared and ready for the Great and Dreadful day of the LORD JESUS CHRIST ? “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my FATHER only” (Matthew 24:36)
We all have just one chance of getting this right. And who has followed ALL of the Instructions of the LORD ? “ It is called the Blessings of Obedience ! “But it shall come to pass, if you will NOT hearken to the voice of the LORD your GOD,
To observe to do “ALL” HIS Commandments and HIS Statutes WHICH I COMMAND YOU THIS DAY; that all these curses shall come upon you, and overtake you” (Deuteronomy 28:15)
Matthew 24:29-31 .. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the SON of man in Heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the SON of man coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory.
31 And HE shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other”. So saith the LORD…
** We have asked ** “ What does it take to be considered the “Elect” of the LORD ?? It goes beyond what you think, The answer can only come from the HOLY SPIRIT – who teaches ALL THINGS (Matthew 14:26).
The HOLY SPIRIT is….. NOT GIVEN just by going to church, NOT GIVEN if you think you are a good person, NOT GIVEN because you own a Bible. NOT GIVEN if you are double minded or Compromise ! (Hot or Cold)… (Revelation 3:15-16).
Acts 5:32…. “The HOLY SPIRIT is given to them that obey HIM”
We have listed many times the beginning of Wisdom. The decisions you make from this point on will last an Eternity. Where do you stand in your obedience to the LORD. ? Yes, asking the difficult questions! Rather here than at the day of Judgement when all has been set in Stone.
In JESUS Christ’s description of His second coming in Matthew 29-31, HE depicts it as a unique occurrence. HIS return will be so astounding and powerful that the people of this world will quake in fear, thinking that they are all doomed to destruction. HIS return will not be in secret or done in a corner. It will be wonderful, glorious, frightening, and decisive. And it certainly has not happened yet.
Isaiah 66:14-16 is a parallel passage:
“When you see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like grass; the hand of the LORD shall be known to His servants, and HIS indignation to HIS enemies. For behold, the LORD will come with fire and with HIS chariots, like a whirlwind, to render HIS anger with fury, and HIS rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by HIS sword the LORD will judge all flesh; and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
After building HIS church, the Bride, to the point that she is complete and ready for the Marriage Supper of the LAMB, JESUS CHRIST will return in wrath and power as the Great Judge to slay HIS enemies and set up HIS Kingdom. The Day of the LORD is a time of death and destruction. As Amos 5:18 says, “It will be darkness, and not light,” and not an event in GOD’s Plan that we should desire. While it is necessary for GOD’s justice to be satisfied, it will be a time of appalling loss of life and devastation. In Malachi’s words,” I will send you Elijah the Prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD” (Malachi 4:5).
In one way, we can be thankful that that Day has not yet come. Would we have been ready if it had? As the days darken toward the return of the KING of kings, true Believers need to heed the warnings embedded in these latest disasters and repent of their sins and move even closer to JESUS.
Christ JESUS is preparing HIS Bride, and she will make herself ready for HIS glorious appearing (Revelation 19:7). If we desire to be part of that Bride, we should do as the apostle Paul advises in Ephesians 5:15-16 “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
JESUS loves us, but we have to follow HIS Instructions. “And there shall in no wise enter into Heaven any thing that defiles, neither whatsoever works abomination, or makes a lie: but they which are written in the LAMB’s Book of Life” (Revelation 21:27)
