Good Morning and Blessings be upon you in the Name of JESUS, The BREAD of LIFE …
And JESUS said to them, “I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to ME shall never hunger, and he who believes in ME shall never thirst ! (John 6:35)
I have been crucified with Christ JESUS; it is no longer I who live, but Christ JESUS who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the SON of GOD, who loved me and gave HIMSELF for me. (Galatians 2:20)
There is still “HOPE” . . . . Part 2
“Seek me and live” is GOD’s time-sensitive opportunity. “For HE says, Indeed, the “Right Time” is now. Today is “THE DAY” of Salvation !
“At a favorable time I listened to you, And on a day of Salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is “a favorable time,” behold, now is “a day of Salvation”— (2 Corinthians 6:2)
No One is Promised Tomorrow. We have this one life with breath in our lungs today to seek GOD and live (Psalms 95:7-8, Hebrews 3:7-15, 4:7).
Not only is “Seek me and Live” the central theme of Amos and the Prophets, but it is also the primary message of the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST. GOD loves the people of the world so much that HE sent HIS only SON to die in our place and, through HIS sacrifice, gave us eternal life in JESUS CHRIST (John 3:16). The Apostle John clarifies, “And this is what GOD has testified: HE has given us Eternal Life, and this life is in HIS SON. Whoever has the SON has life; whoever does not have GOD’s SON does not have life. I have written this to you who believe in the name of the SON of GOD (JESUS CHRIST) so that you may know you have eternal life” (1 John 5:11-13).
We must First believe in HIM, and then the walk of a True Believer consists of seeking the LORD daily, through a lifelong relationship with HIM. Paul expounds, “HE will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory, honor, and immortality that GOD offers. But HE will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness” (Romans 2:7-8).
“So give your Heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your GOD, For HE is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And HE relents from doing harm.” (Joel 2:13)
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”, Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance” (Matthew 3:2,8)… True repentance is an inward thing which has its seat in the mind and heart !
At John’s preaching, the people began to ask, “What should we do?” (Luke 3:10). In other words, “What is the fruit in keeping with repentance?” “John answered, ‘Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same’” (Luke 3:11). He told the tax collectors in the crowd, “Don’t collect any more than you are required to” (verse 13). He told the soldiers, “Don’t extort money and don’t accuse people falsely—be content with your pay” (verse 14). Such actions were the “fruit” of repentance in that they showed the genuineness of the change of heart.
Fruit in keeping with repentance represents the good deeds and changed behaviors that naturally flow from a truly repentant and transformed heart. In (James 2:14-26), James teaches extensively on the subject, explaining that “faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless” (verse 17, NLT). James concludes, “Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works (verse 26).
The True believer’s ability to produce fruit in keeping with repentance depends wholly on your intimate fellowship with JESUS CHRIST, who said, “Remain in ME, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in ME. Yes, I AM the VINE; you are the branches. Those who remain in ME, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from ME, you can do nothing” (John 15:4-5). The root will naturally produce fruit. Fruit in keeping with repentance is the evidence (as well as a result) of a changed mind, a transformed life “That New Creature in CHRIST JESUS” (2 Corinthians 5:17), and ongoing daily communion with JESUS.
Read, Study, Learn and Apply to your life, for by doing so . . . . to shew thyself approved unto GOD.
