Part 1….. “Searing the Consciousness”…
What does it mean when we, as True Believers, become that New Creation ?
Therefore if any man be in Christ JESUS, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
The word “Therefore” refers us back to to verses 14-16 where the Apostle Paul tells us that all “Believers” have died with JESUS and no longer live for themselves. Stop for a moment and think about that…our lives are no longer wordly; they are now spiritual.
But how many know what that means ? We can read it, but how do we press that into our mindset ? Without knowing, most will subconsciously reject the notion because that means change, a different direction for a different routine. But wait, we can’t do that because that means we are stepping into an accountable new habit! One that pulls us away from our comfort zone. Our worldly nature is such that we inherently take the path of least resistance, we hate change, especially when it comes to added responsibility.
“Old Things fall away” refers to our sin nature which was nailed to the Cross with JESUS. (It’s a shame HE had to endure impossible suffering for so many that do so little or nothing at all to say thank you for HIS death on the Cross).
Our Sins were buried with HIM, and just as HE was raised up by the FATHER, so are we raised up to “walk in the re-creation of who we now are supposed to be in JESUS”. (Romans 6:4)
But you see, this all means something ! This is not an idea, it is a reality for those who have 👉”ACCEPTED” JESUS CHRIST as LORD..!!
This is presumed to be a major transformation in our lives, not some theory or a comment concerning who we are to be. This IS the next step in order to proceed on the Path to Eternal Salvation! How many will miss it because of the disconnect of “Actions speak louder than Words” ??
This upgraded repositioning is not a suggestion but most definitely required….. The old tapes that have been ingrained into our brains which cause us to walk half awake through life have to be “Updated”, like going from Windows 10 to Windows 11. If the update isn’t done, then the prior programming starts to cause major issues. How easy is it for us to do the required Computer or phone updates and yet when it comes to our own Souls and the Hope for Eternity, we find ways to deny the necessity of updating the program. We default to our own ineptitude and weakness.
And who do you think is working behind the scenes to make sure we do not commit to that which is of Supreme importance ? he is called “the wicked one”, who preys on the weak and compromised. The LORD directly warns those who read and study HIS BOOK OF INSTRUCTION, the answer is found in 1 Peter 5:8 !! Many will be denied entrance to the Kingdom because of disobedience. (1 Samuel 15:22).
The majority of humanity is playing with fire 🔥 and are going to get burned. Ask your pastor what Romans 6:23 means. When we reject the Path that JESUS has chosen for us to walk, The Scripture says, for Those IN CHRIST JESUS, not WITH, BUT IN… massive difference ! Then disobeying is a Sin.
Every day, we stand at a Crossroad. If we have JESUS within us, we will make the correct decision. If we are unknowingly separated from The LORD because of our being lukewarm or lack of Complete Surrender, what can you expect other than issues, problems and other inconveniences due to improper decisions. Jesus tells us in John 15:5…”For without HIM, we can do nothing”.
We alone are responsible for speaking into existence our Eternity. James 3:5-10 tells us that we hold Eternal life or death within our own words. Govern yourselves accordingly.
